**** POSITION PURPOSE

SUMMARY:

** The Salvation Army Christmas Kettle Campaign is part of a century old tradition to contribute towards building strong communities by helping TSA to give hope to other.
** Kettle Coordinator position is a short-term contract position.
** The incumbent is responsible for oversight of various Salvation Army Christmas campaigns as well as the coordination of all staff and volunteers. This position may be assigned to provide coordination for one or multiple campaigns such as Christmas Kettle Campaign, Christmas Hampers, Santa Shuffle, and Toy Drives campaigns.  
** ACCOUNTABILITIES:
** The incumbent may perform all, some, or similar range of duties.

• Attend a day of training/orientation on The Salvation Army and the Christmas Kettle Campaign  
• Provide support, direction and supervision of Christmas Campaign support staff  
• Manage the collection of confidential information pertaining to clients and/or sponsors ensuring updated records are maintained in the database  
• Work with clients and sponsors to ensure the appropriate level of need is being addressed through the requirements of the campaign  
• In partnership with other campaign coordinators, liaise as required with the city, community agencies and businesses for promotional purposes  
• Provide volunteer and worker training as required  
• Prepare, coordinate and distribute correspondence as required to clients and/or sponsors  
• Provide updated campaign information through statistical reporting requirements  
• Solicit a variety of donations and/or sponsorship commitment in support of the assigned Christmas campaign  
• Ensure the secure and safe keeping of all donated goods throughout the season  
• Oversee the collection, sorting and distribution of items such as toys and hampers  
• Coordinate the delivery and pick-up of donations as required  
• Provide oversight and attend special events and activities  
• Submit final campaign reports outlining highlights and recommendations for future campaign coordination  Perform other work-related duties as assigned.
