Registered Nurse, Perioperative Care

Dawson Creek & District Hospital is looking for a passionate Registered Nurse specializing in perioperative care. This full-time role emphasizes skilled nursing during the surgical process to ensure positive patient outcomes.
As a vital member of our OR team, you will manage direct patient care for those undergoing surgery. This position requires assessment of patients’ needs, careful planning, and execution of nursing interventions throughout the peri-operative period. Collaboration with a diverse healthcare team is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough assessments before and after surgery

• Implement nursing interventions according to established standards

• Document patient progress and care plans accurately

• Provide oversight to nursing and non-nursing staff

• Participate in on-call rotations as required
Requirements:

• Registered Nurse with BC College of Nurses and Midwives

• CPR Level C certification required

• Relevant postgraduate training or experience in perioperative settings

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Strong physical, mental, and emotional resilience
