Northern Health Psychiatry Nurse Position

Location: dawson creek

Become a vital part of Dawson Creek & District Hospital as a Registered Nurse/Registered Psychiatric Nurse. This role emphasizes compassionate patient care within a supportive psychiatric environment.
As part of the Northern Health team, you will adhere to professional practice standards while offering comprehensive nursing services to psychiatric patients. You'll have the opportunity to lead in crisis situations, educate families, and provide clinical expertise as part of an integrated care team. Your dedication will help shape patient experiences in this rotating shift position.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess and coordinate psychiatric nursing care

• Lead crisis intervention and patient education activities

• Collaborate effectively with health care professionals

• Delegate tasks and support interdisciplinary teams

• Participate in Electroconvulsive Therapy (ECT) administration
Requirements:

• Must be registered with BC College of Nurses and Midwives

• Previous experience in psychiatric nursing preferred

• Excellent leadership and team collaboration abilities

• Commitment to patient-centered care

• Able to work shifts covering days and nights
