Registered Nurse in Operating Room Care

Become a Registered Nurse at Fort St. John Hospital, specializing in Operating Room care. Deliver compassionate nursing services during peri-operative phases, Monday to Friday, 07:00 to 15:00.

This position requires a proficient nurse skilled in assessing and addressing the needs of patients undergoing surgery. Work alongside the Operating Room Head Nurse, while supervising both nursing and non-nursing personnel.

Your role will involve direct patient care—from initial assessment through recovery, ensuring all procedures meet established medical standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Implement and evaluate personalized nursing care plans

• Manage immediate post-operative patient needs

• Direct nursing staff in a collaborative environment

• Utilize medical devices effectively during surgeries

• Conduct patient education regarding post-operative recovery

Requirements:

• Valid BC RN registration with the college

• Mandatory C.P.R. and I.V. Therapy certifications

• Minimum one year relevant experience in an Operating Room

• Strong capability to communicate effectively

• Demonstrated knowledge of specialized nursing techniques
