Position: Registered Nurse for Peri-Operative Care
Join Fort St. John Hospital as a Registered Nurse dedicated to compassionate peri-operative care. Work Monday to Friday and help shape patient recovery during surgical processes.

As a part of the surgical team at Fort St. John Hospital, you will focus on providing direct nursing care in the Operating Room and Post-Anesthetic Recovery Area. Under the guidance of the Head Nurse, you will assess patient needs, implement individualized care plans, and document nursing actions.

Your role also involves leading support staff during the peri-operative process, alongside on-call schedule rotations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess and address patient physical and psychological needs

• Document nursing care and patient outcomes accurately

• Lead nursing staff and provide work direction

• Manage on-call responsibilities effectively

• Ensure adherence to established nursing standards and policies

Requirements:

• Must hold current RN registration with BC College of Nurses

• Minimum one year experience in an Operating Room setting

• Certification in CPR and IV Therapy is mandatory

• Knowledge in aseptic techniques and specialized nursing care

• Physical capability to perform nursing duties and operate equipment
