Peri-Operative Registered Nurse

Position: Peri-Operative Registered Nurse Role
Join the dedicated team at Fort St. John Hospital as a Peri-Operative Registered Nurse. Focused on patient care during the surgical process, this role operates Monday to Friday from 07:00 to 15:00.

We are looking for an enthusiastic Registered Nurse committed to delivering compassionate care in the Operating Room. Under the guidance of the Head Nurse, you'll assess and implement nursing services tailored to individual patient needs. This role emphasizes effective communication and teamwork, alongside scheduled on-call duties.

Key Responsibilities:

• Evaluate patients’ physical and psychological conditions

• Document comprehensive care plans and patient outcomes

• Guide nursing staff while maintaining operational standards

• Operate essential medical equipment safely

• Facilitate patient education on post-surgical care

Requirements:

• Active RN registration with BC College of Nurses

• Current certifications in C.P.R. and I.V. Therapy required

• At least one year of Operating Room experience

• Proven communication and interpersonal skills

• Familiarity with aseptic procedures and techniques
