Fort St. John Hospital OR Nurse Position

Become a key member of the nursing team at Fort St. John Hospital as a Registered Nurse in the Operating Room. Your compassionate care will be vital during the surgical and recovery phases.

This Full-Time position requires a motivated RN to operate under the direction of the Operating Room Head Nurse. You will engage in direct nursing care and ensure established standards are met. Candidates should demonstrate knowledge of specialized nursing procedures and effective communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct nursing care for peri-operative patients

• Assess and address patients' needs throughout the process

• Collaborate with nursing and non-nursing staff effectively

• Evaluate and document care provided to patients

• Participate in scheduled on-call shifts

Requirements:

• Hold current registration with BC College of Nurses and Midwives

• Current C.P.R., I.V. Therapy, and Discharge from P.A.R. certifications

• One year of experience in Operating Room or Post-Anesthetic care

• Proficient in using related medical equipment

• Strong interpersonal communication abilities
