Temporary Nursing Instructor Position

Become a Nursing Instructor at Northern Lights College in Fort St. John, BC, teaching essential nursing skills in the Practical Nursing Program. This part-time role focuses on the PNUR 245 Lab course.

As an instructor, your primary responsibility will be to educate students on nursing techniques that cater to those with acute health issues. You'll be part of a collaborative team focused on utilizing diverse teaching methods to enhance student learning experiences and foster a supportive educational atmosphere.

Key Responsibilities:

• Instruct students in PNUR 245 Lab on acute care

• Use simulation and practical approaches in instruction

• Collaborate with the Health Sciences Department

• Promote inquiry, reflection, and a learning-focused environment

• Guide students towards achieving their educational goals

Requirements:

• Completed accredited Diploma in Practical Nursing or higher

• Active nursing license with no conditions

• Three to five years of recent Canadian nursing experience

• Course work in Indigenous cultural safety completed

• Proficient communication skills in educational settings
