Seeking an Intermediate Archaeologist to lead impactful projects on cultural preservation in BC. Work closely with Indigenous communities and contribute to responsible development initiatives.
As part of the Heritage team, you will conduct archaeological field programs and manage various project aspects, ensuring collaboration with clients and regulatory bodies. You’ll play a critical role in mentoring junior team members while fostering relationships throughout project life cycles. Your commitment to health and safety will drive high-quality project execution.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct surveys, excavations, and field monitoring
• Collaborate with clients and Indigenous groups
• Provide mentorship to junior archaeologists
• Manage budgets and project timelines effectively
• Uphold health and safety standards continuously
Requirements:
• Field Director status or progress toward it
• Experience supervising archaeological field operations
• Strong dedication to Indigenous engagement
• Proficient with field tools and Microsoft software
• Class 5 driver’s license required
