Job type:  Full-time, 6 month contract
Hours are estimated to be:  40 hours per week
Expected salary range:  $50, per year

Job Overview:  We are looking for an enthusiastic Shop Manager to join our new "pop-up" shop in Totem Mall  (Fort St. John). The Shop Manager is responsible for achieving overall profitability, maintaining efficient shop operations, and providing effective leadership and management to the retail staff. This position serves as a liaison between the shop and the Purdys Support Office and positively supports its policies, programs and initiatives.

Your success in this role will come from your ability to engage with customers, drive sales, and work in a team environment.
This is a  full-time, 6-month contract position  that requires open availability to work a variety of shifts, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays. There is the potential for this role to become permanent based on business needs and performance.
You will have the opportunity to:
Use sales drive to achieve profit goals
Provide Customer Obsessed Service and Sales through leadership by example, training, coaching, managing and scheduling others
Select quality team members by effectively recruiting, interviewing and hiring
Train and develop team members to become productive and promo table internal candidates
Control inventory levels of product and supplies to meet daily requirements.

Passionate about chocolate and have at least two years of progressive management experience in a fast-paced retail/hospitality environment
