Retail Thrift Shop Associate MCC BC

Support MCC BC’s mission as a Retail Thrift Shop Associate in Fort St John, British Columbia. This role focuses on customer engagement and efficient inventory management in a full-time capacity.

As a Thrift Shop Associate, you will collaborate closely with volunteers and team leaders to create a warm and inviting shopping environment. Your responsibilities will encompass both operational tasks behind the scenes and direct customer interactions on the retail floor, all while upholding the values of MCC. Your adaptability and retail experience will contribute significantly to the daily operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage donation reception and inventory preparation

• Engage with customers in providing exceptional service

• Oversee cash handling and check-out processes

• Keep the retail space organized and presentable

• Foster a culture of safety and respect in customer interactions

Requirements:

• At least one year of customer service or retail experience

• Knowledge of second-hand goods standards is a plus

• Ability to handle physical demands of the job

• Satisfactory criminal record check required

• Must be legally eligible to work in Canada
