Location:

Cannabis Supply Co. Fort St. John - 11205 Alaska Rd S, Fort St. John, BC

The Role

Cannabis Supply Co is looking for an Assistant Store Manager to help lead one of our retail locations and create a store where customers love to shop and employees are proud to work. As the Store Manager’s right hand, you’ll help keep the store running at its best, coaching the team, driving sales, creating great customer experiences, and keeping day-to-day operations on track.

You’ll be hands‑on, spending plenty of time on the floor alongside your team while also developing your leadership skills and learning what it takes to run a successful retail business. When the Store Manager isn’t there, you’re the leader in charge.

This is a great opportunity for someone who already has some leadership experience and is ready to take the next step.

Why Join Us?
  • Access to health and dental benefits.
  • Employee Assistance Program.
  • Paid time off.
  • Continual learning, cross-training, and opportunities to grow.
  • Employee incentives and social events.
  • The opportunity to build your leadership skills and grow your retail career.
What You’ll Do
  • Deliver and model consistent, high-quality customer service, including addressing and resolving escalations.
  • Support team members in providing informed and responsible cannabis education.
  • Support the achievement of individual and store sales targets.
  • Coach team members on product recommendations and sales techniques.
  • Identify opportunities to improve sales performance and customer retention.
  • Maintain strong knowledge of products, categories, and regulations, and support ongoing team education.
  • Execute opening and closing procedures, including cash management.
  • Oversee daily store operations and ensure compliance with all regulations and policies.
  • Maintain store standards, including cleanliness, merchandising, and organization.
  • Provide on-shift leadership and direction to team members.
  • Support the training and onboarding of new employees.
  • Foster a positive, accountable, and team-oriented work environment.
What You’ll Bring
  • 2+ years of retail, hospitality, or customer-facing experience.
  • Previous supervisory, keyholder, or management experience is preferred.
  • A genuine interest in leading people and developing your management skills.
  • Strong customer service and sales instincts.
  • A positive, hands‑on approach — you’re comfortable jumping in wherever the team needs you.
  • Strong communication, organization, and problem‑solving skills.
  • The confidence to make decisions and take ownership when you’re leading the store.
  • Cannabis retail experience is an asset, but a willingness to learn is essential.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain the required provincial cannabis certification.
  • Flexible availability, including evenings and weekends.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 20 lbs.
