Campus Security and Maintenance

Position: Campus Security and Maintenance Role
Secure Northern Lights College facilities while supporting minor maintenance tasks in this full-time role. Work Monday to Friday from 7:00 am to 3:00 pm with a strong focus on safety and student care.

As a Campus Security and Maintenance team member, your primary duty is to provide access to authorized individuals and monitor campus safety. You will perform minor maintenance tasks and operate equipment as necessary while serving students and the public with tact and professionalism. Your proactive approach to facility security will foster a safe and welcoming environment for all.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor campus activity and ensure facilities security

• Provide information and assistance to students and visitors

• Perform minor maintenance tasks during your shift

• Operate machinery related to campus duties

• Manage conflicts effectively with diplomacy

Requirements:

• Grade 12 completion and formal security training

• Current BC security license and Level 1 Occupational First Aid

• Class 5 driver's license with lifting capacity of 50 lbs

• General maintenance experience preferred

• Commitment to fostering a student-centered environment
