Youth Care Worker at North Peace Secondary

Reporting directly to the site's Administrative Officer, this role involves assisting with student progress and crisis management. You will develop and implement life skills and behavior management programs while also monitoring students' needs. Engage with both individual and group counseling sessions to help students thrive academically and socially.

Key Responsibilities:

• Participate in placement and progress meetings for students

• Assist in developing life and social skills programs

• Provide individual and group crisis intervention

• Facilitate counseling sessions as directed by school counselor

• Maintain accurate records of interventions

Requirements:

• Grade 12 or equivalent education

• Two years post-secondary coursework related to youth care

• Crisis Prevention Intervention certification required

• Two years experience in conflict resolution and life skills

• Valid B.C. driver’s license and clean driving record
