The full-time role focuses on supporting the emotional and social well-being of Indigenous students from September to June. You’ll work directly with at-risk youth and collaborate closely with educators to create impactful learning environments. Your diverse skill set will enhance educational experiences through comprehensive support services.
Key Responsibilities:
• Communicate effectively with educators and community services
• Plan training for classroom staff on emotional support techniques
• Maintain thorough documentation of student interactions
• Guide students and families to available community resources
• Assist in crisis intervention and support as needed
Requirements:
• Degree in social work or related field
• License to practice social work in BC preferred
• Experience working with diverse student populations
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Willingness to travel to various school locations
Support the emotional development of students in a progressive educational environment at School District 60.
