Community Support Worker

Join the Fort St. John Association for Community Living as a Community Support Worker. This role focuses on promoting community inclusion and supporting adults with developmental disabilities in their daily lives.

As a Community Support Worker within the Supported-Independent Living Program, you will provide essential support for individuals living independently. Your responsibilities include coordinating service hours based on personal preferences, fostering self-determination and safety skills, and enhancing the quality of life through health promotion and skill-building activities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Organize personalized service hours based on client needs

• Support development of self-determination and safety skills

• Enhance quality of life through health-focused initiatives

• Plan and engage in community participation activities

• Promote belonging and inclusion within the local community

Requirements:

• Class 5 Driver's license and reliable vehicle

• Clear criminal record check

• Strong communication and empathy skills

• Comfortable managing diverse individual needs

• Willingness to work flexible hours
