Specialized Services Social Worker Position

Elevate your social work career with Northern Health in the Specialized Services department. This role focuses on clinical counseling for clients with serious mental illness and substance use issues.

As a specialized Social Worker, you will provide essential counseling services under the guidance of a manager. This role requires expertise in psychosocial assessments, and you will work within the Mental Health and Substance Use Outreach programs. Your contributions will ensure effective discharge planning and continuity of care for clients and families.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide clinical social work counseling services

• Conduct comprehensive psychosocial assessments

• Educate clients, families, and healthcare professionals

• Liaise with integrated interdisciplinary teams

• Develop and deliver educational support groups

Requirements:

• Registered Social Worker with clinical experience

• Familiarity with mental illness and substance use

• Strong advocacy and coordination skills

• Ability to work in a team setting

• Availability for Monday to Friday, 8 AM - 4 PM shifts
