Overview

Cook - Aztec Grill at Redwood Market (part of Jacksons Food Stores). The Line Cook plays a key role in preparing high-quality food in a fast-paced convenience store and grill environment, ensuring recipes are followed, cleanliness and safety standards are maintained, and food is served accurately and on time.

Pay:
Starting at $17.00 - $18.00 an hour

• Prepare and cook food according to Aztec Grill and Redwood Market recipes
• Work quickly while maintaining food safety standards and regulations
• Maintain a clean and organized kitchen workspace
• Stock and prep fresh ingredients for daily use
• Clean and organize kitchen equipment after use
• Communicate effectively with team members to ensure smooth service
• Take on additional duties as needed to support store and food operations

• Previous food service experience (QSR, restaurant, or similar) is a plus, with the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment
• Knowledge of food safety best practices and ability to work with minimal oversight
• Safety-focused and able to maintain a clean, compliant environment
• Possess a valid California Food Handler Certificate or be able to obtain one within 30 days of hire
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) skills are a plus
• Adaptable and able to embrace change with minimal disruption
• Strong communication and teamwork skills with a respectful approach
• Reliable, punctual, and committed to following through on tasks

• Ability to stand for most of your shift with repetitive motions (reaching, bending, twisting)

• Work safely in a kitchen and market environment that may include heat, cold, and cleaning chemicals
