About the Opportunity:Our client, a leader in the Autonomous Technology and Automotive Manufacturing industry, is looking for a skilled Manufacturing Systems Support Engineer to join their team for a 6+ Months engagement. This project involves working closely with production teams and service operations to troubleshoot and resolve issues across Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) and SAP S4/HANA, ensuring manufacturing continuity and efficiency. This is a high-impact role that requires a self‑motivated professional who can hit the ground running and deliver results quickly.
Key Responsibilities & Deliverables:- MES Operations Support: Perform day‑to‑day Manufacturing Execution System (MES) operation support at facilities.
- Issue Resolution: Troubleshoot and resolve any MES‑related issues, data collection problems, and operation issues raised by production technicians.
- System Integration Monitoring: Monitor MES/S4 Integration errors and assist in the resolution of these errors.
- SAP Support: Monitor internal SAP Support requests and resolve any SAP EAM (Enterprise Asset Management) and Configuration Management related issues.
- Root Cause Analysis: Work closely with production teams, Base Ops, and Engineering personnel to identify root causes and resolve complex issues in Manufacturing Systems and SAP S4.
Skills & Experience:
We are looking for someone with a proven track record of successful contract engagements. The ideal candidate will have:
- 4–6 years of relevant experience in MES usage in a manufacturing environment (requirements analysis, design definition, software development, and solutions implementation).
- Deep expertise in SAP ME/Mii and manufacturing plant floor in‑person support experience. 3+ years of hands‑on experience with SAP ME/Mii/PCo and Kepware applications. Experience with the SAP EAM module is essential. This isn’t a learning role—you need to be a subject matter expert.
- Demonstrated ability to work autonomously, effectively managing your own time, and a customer‑focused, positive, and supportive personality required for a team environment.
- Experience with the integration between S4/HANA and SAP ME/Mii, and basic knowledge on the integration of MES with PLC using Kepware through OPC UA servers. Prior experience working on SAP EAM systems.
- Strong communication skills to provide clear and concise status updates and collaborate effectively across a complex, multi‑functional project team.
