JOB TITLE:
User Experience Hardware Electrical Engineer
LOCATION:
Foster City, CA (3 days in office) PAY RANGE: $83-93/hr duration: 6 months TOP 3
SKILLS:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering (or equivalent)
- 5-10 years of experience in electrical component/system design and troubleshooting
- Experience taking a part or assembling from concept through production, working with external suppliers, and managing deliverables for multiple projects
- Specify electrical component and system requirements, lead engineering discussions and development with suppliers.
- Coordinate supplier tooling and production to meet critical vehicle milestones.
- Collaborate with hardware, firmware, software teams, and system operators to iterate on existing designs and develop future solutions.
- Conduct root cause analysis during development, validation, build, and deployment phases for issue resolution.
- Support the development and execution of system and component-level validation test plans.
- Work with manufacturing and quality engineers to mature components and support vehicle build, bring-up, and test activities.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering (or equivalent).
- 5–10 years of experience in electrical component/system design and troubleshooting.
- Proven experience taking parts or assemblies from concept to production, managing multiple projects, and working with external suppliers.
- Experience in automotive (CAN bus, automotive Ethernet, A2B, and other automotive networks), aerospace, or safety-critical industries.
- Proficient with on-board digital serial interfaces such as SPI, UART, I2C, and I2S.
- Experience with electrical and EMI/C testing.
- Knowledge of automotive functional safety standards (ISO
26262). - Firmware/software experience (managing, developing, testing).
- Experience with chassis and/or electromechanical systems.
- Familiarity with high-speed bus protocols such as PCIe, Display Port, and HDMI.
- Experience using Altium, 3DX, Catia V5/V6, or similar tools.
Individual compensation is determined by skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Compensation details listed in this posting reflect the base hourly rate or annual salary only, unless otherwise stated. In addition to base compensation, full-time roles are eligible for Medical, Dental, Vision, Commuter and 401K benefits with company matching.
