Our client, a leading innovator in the automotive and technology industry, is seeking a Hardware Engineer to join their dynamic team. As a Hardware Engineer, you will be part of the Hardware Development Department supporting the Testing and Quality Assurance teams. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, innovative, and a self-starter, with a passion for developing cutting‑edge hardware solutions and collaborating across multidisciplinary teams to achieve excellence.

Job Title: Automotive Hardware Engineer

Location: Foster City, CA

Pay Range: $75 per hour

Job Responsibilities
  • Develop, document, and execute component and system‑level hardware testing procedures.
  • Collaborate with suppliers, design, and system engineers to characterize the functional performance of hardware components.
  • Design and develop test setups, including load simulators, test harnesses, and custom scripts using Python.
  • Facilitate test infrastructure projects by working closely with procurement and suppliers to ensure seamless execution.
  • Draft and present comprehensive test plans, design reviews, and data reviews to ensure quality standards are met.
Qualifications
  • B.S. in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • 4+ years of professional experience in electronics development and hardware testing.
  • Experience with testing electronic, automotive, aerospace, or vehicle components.
  • Proficiency with design tools such as Altium for PCBA and 3D modeling software like 3

    DEXPERIENCE or Catia.
  • Hands‑on experience with lab equipment including oscilloscopes, environmental chambers, spectrum analyzers, and network analyzers.
