Qualys is seeking an experienced VP of Product Management to lead a high-growth, multi-product portfolio that includes Total Cloud (CNAPP), Total App Sec (ASPM), and Total
AI (AI-SPM). The ideal candidate will have complete 360-degree ownership of Cloud, Container, Application and AI Security product line end to end, both inbound and outbound product management responsibilities. They should have experience leading a globally distributed team of 10+ product leaders and a multi-product portfolio, and be a subject matter expert in CNAPP and ASPM with some AI experience. You will work with teams to align product roadmap plans with customer requirements in both private sector and federal/government spaces.
This leader will shape Qualys emerging security portfolio, owning product strategy and execution while collaborating with engineering, sales, and go-to-market teams. With engineering resources of 200+ and a growing security product team of ~10, this role is central to scaling security as a core business.
Product Ownership: Total Cloud (CNAPP), Total App Sec (ASPM), Total
AI (AI-SPM)
Business Ownership and Responsibilities
- Business Owner of a product portfolio, focusing on revenue growth, prioritization, monetization, and cross-product synergies.
- Regular business analysis of revenue; report on metrics such as cross-sell, up-sell, expansion, renewal; develop a plan to improve metrics and present to leadership.
- Pipeline and Lead Generation — generate ideas to create leads and execute plans to convert pipeline to closed deals.
- Pricing and Packaging — evaluate monetization options (freemium, premium, packaging) to drive adoption and revenue.
- Product-led-growth (PLG) / Product-Led-Sales (Sales) — develop ideas for PLG/PLS to build pipeline; manage digital marketing and demand gen campaigns to acquire, nurture, and convert leads.
Team Leadership Responsibilities:
- Lead, mentor, and grow a team of ~10 product managers with clear priorities, high performance culture, and strong execution rhythm.
Outbound Product Management Responsibilities:
- Develop sales enablement collateral, customer presentations, decks, and demo scripts.
- Develop messaging and product positioning with PM and PMMs leads.
- Research competitive landscape; position CNAPP, ASPM, and AI-SPM; create support documents.
- Educate sales on how to address competitors with Qualys positioning.
- Develop collateral and be expert on cloud-native terminology; explain product to sales and participate in demos/presentations to customers.
- Foster relationships with customers to gather feedback and translate insights into product requirements.
- Design, deliver, and train the Qualys Sales Team on value-based product demonstrations.
Inbound Product Management Responsibilities:
- Own product vision, roadmap, and execution for CNAPP, ASPM, and AI-SPM.
- Define and evangelize strategy, vision, and execution, including GTM strategy.
- Contribute to running a cross-functional team (Product Management, UX, Engineering, Sales).
- Establish relationships with customers and distill requests into a high-impact roadmap.
What We Need from You:
- Proven track record leading and scaling security products across multiple domains (cloud, container, application security, and AI Security).
- Deep understanding of the security market, competitive landscape, regulatory requirements, and evolving customer needs.
- Experience managing a portfolio of security products; data-driven investment and GTM decisions.
- Hands-on VP-level product management experience with strategic and execution focus.
- Strong GTM expertise with sales, marketing, and customer success collaboration.
- Proven ability to achieve product-market fit in high-growth, competitive markets.
- Experience building and leading high-performing product teams; culture of execution and accountability.
- Cross-functional collaboration with engineering, sales, and marketing to align product vision with business outcomes.
- Strong analytical and decision-making skills balancing technical feasibility and business impact.
- Executive presence and stakeholder management with ability to influence at C-level.
- Bachelor s degree in science, technology, or engineering; MBA or equivalent preferred.
- 10+ years in product management or 8+ years in technical leadership/solution architecture/pre-sales with a focus on cloud security.
Salary: Annual Salary Guidelines: $240,000 - $275,000
