As a Senior LLM & ML Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in transforming Conviva into an AI-native product company. You will design and implement production-ready AI systems that integrate Large Language Model capabilities across our platform, working across the full spectrum of ML and LLM technologies, from model deployment and optimization to advanced AI agent systems. Your work will enable intelligent features that enhance our analytics and customer experience solutions while contributing to the strategic direction of our AI initiatives and building cutting-edge solutions at scale.

What Success Will Look Like

• Design, build, and maintain LLM/ML systems that power AI-driven features across a large-scale data analytics platform.

• Develop and optimize LLM Agents for specific business use cases, focusing on performance, accuracy, and cost efficiency.

• Build scalable technical infrastructure for growing AI systems, including model training, deployment, and monitoring pipelines.

• Apply ML and AI techniques to big-data and observability problems unique to digital experience analytics.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align LLM outputs and behaviors with product requirements.

• Contribute to and promote software engineering best practices across AI initiatives.

• Promote a positive culture within the team, encourage code quality, drive initiatives, and ensure flawless execution.
Who You Are & What You've Done

• Master's or PhD in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field with a strong foundation in CS and algorithms.

• Solid knowledge of Machine Learning fundamentals, probability and statistics, algorithm and data structure.

• Strong programming skills in Python, JavaScript/Type Script, or similar languages.

• 3+ years of hands-on experience designing, building, and deploying machine learning models and pipelines with high scalability and performance.

• Experience with LLM agent techniques and AI system integration.

• Proven track record of delivering statistical models and ML algorithms with measurable business impact.

• Passion and enthusiasm for machine learning technologies and building cutting edge solutions.

• Strong cross-functional collaboration skills with a bias toward proactive problem-solving.
Bonus Points

• Experience with conversational AI and agent-based systems, MCP or A2A.

• Solid understanding of Natural Language Processing techniques and LLM/ML/Reinforcement Learning methodologies

• Proficiency with ML frameworks such as PyTorch, Tensor Flow, and MLOps tools

• Background in model fine-tuning, alignment, and optimization techniques

• Open-source contributions to ML/AI projects

• Experience with big data frameworks (e.g., Spark, Flink, Ray) and distributed systems

• This position will be based in our Foster City, CA office.
The expected salary range for this full-time position is $190,000 - $220,000 + equity + benefits. The actual level and compensation are determined by several factors, such as your qualifications, professional background, and relevant experience.
