Role Overview Our organization is seeking a Data Analyst to support the data systems and reporting that power our autonomous fleet operations. You will transform vehicle telemetry, service logs, and operations data into clear insights that improve decision-making across operations, safety, and engineering teams. This role focuses on analytics, reporting, KPI development, and building accessible datasets and dashboards that help teams understand performance and drive improvements.

You will contribute to real projects and gain experience that goes well beyond the classroom.

Key Responsibilities
* Analyze vehicle telemetry, service logs, dispatch data, and operational metrics to identify trends and actionable insights.
* Build and maintain dashboards and recurring reports for fleet operations, safety, and engineering stakeholders.
* Define, track, and report on KPIs related to fleet performance, mission success, readiness, and operational efficiency.
* Ensure datasets used for analysis are accurate, well-structured, and reliable.
* Partner with operations teams to understand reporting needs and business questions.
* Translate business needs into data insights and reporting solutions in close collaboration with engineering and product teams.
* Enable self-service analytics by creating well-documented datasets, reports, and dashboards.
* Communicate findings clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
* Identify inefficiencies, recurring issues, and performance gaps through data analysis.
* Support operational decision-making with timely, data-driven recommendations.
* Assist in automating recurring reporting and reducing manual efforts where possible.

Required Qualifications
*
* Education:

** Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program in Data Analytics, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Business Analytics, or a related field.

* Experience:

** Experience with operational, logistics, or fleet-related data is preferred. Candidates must be available to commit to a minimum three-month assignment and be able to commit a minimum of 20 hours per week.
** Technical

Skills:

** Strong proficiency in SQL for querying, data manipulation, and analysis is required, alongside experience with data visualization tools such as Looker, Tableau, or Power BI. Proficiency in Python for data analysis and reporting is highly preferred, and familiarity with Databricks or similar analytics platforms is a plus.

* Ability to construct live operational dashboards to visualize fleet health and downtime metrics.
* Experience optimizing database queries across No

SQL and SQL structures to ensure rapid retrieval of historical fleet data.
* Ability to aggregate and analyze large sets of vehicle performance data to provide actionable recommendations for improving fleet utilization.

Work Environment This position requires on-site work at our Foster City office location. You will interface directly with hardware and software engineering teams to ensure operational tools accurately reflect the latest system capabilities and constraints. You will also gather feedback from on-the-ground fleet operators to continuously iterate and improve the UX/UI of internal tools.
