Job DescriptionKey Responsibilities
- Independently plan and execute assigned experiments that support non‑routine research activities and project goals.
- Apply advanced understanding of project goals and methods.
- Select appropriate methods and techniques in performing experiments.
- Collaborate with supervisory personnel to develop research methods.
- Lead functional group meetings as needed; present results of work, interpret data, and draw conclusions regarding presented material and nature of work.
- Act as a resource for other employees within the department.
- Maintain familiarity with scientific literature and apply appropriately to research projects.
- Use strong communication skills (both verbal and written) and interpersonal skills to communicate objectives and results.
- Think critically and creatively, work independently, determine appropriate resources for problem resolution, and demonstrate strong organizational and planning skills.
- BS degree in a related scientific discipline with at least 5 years of experience
OR
- MS degree in a related scientific discipline with at least 3 years of experience.
- Deep understanding of biological pathways involved in inflammatory disease pathogenesis.
- Prior experience in developing and characterizing mouse models for preclinical research.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate complex scientific concepts clearly across teams.
- Experience in ex vivo analysis and data interpretation related to immune cell profiling.
The salary range for this position is: $ - $. Gilead considers a variety of factors when determining base compensation, including experience, qualifications, and geographic location. These considerations mean actual compensation will vary. This position may also be eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, discretionary stock‑based long‑term incentives (eligibility may vary based on role), paid time off, and a benefits package.
