Software Engineer - Full Stack

As a Software Engineer on our team, you will design and develop full‑stack applications with frontend, backend, and API components to support and enhance our QA Engineering processes. Your work will involve building scalable and efficient systems that integrate with various internal tools. Additionally, you will contribute to automation solutions to improve efficiency and streamline processes. You should be passionate about developing high‑quality software, optimizing system performance, and delivering solutions that enhance team productivity and collaboration.

• Develop full‑stack applications, including frontend, backend, APIs, and microservices to support Software QA’s needs
• Design, develop, and maintain frameworks to support integration, subsystem, and end‑to‑end test runs
• Design and develop frameworks or tooling to improve developer velocity and productivity, increase pipeline execution efficiency, and reduce manual pipeline management
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to understand test development and execution challenges, and develop automated solutions to address them
• Optimize and scale automated processes to improve reliability and reduce manual efforts

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or a related field
• 1+ years of experience as a Software Engineer with a strong background in scalable application development and automation framework development
• Strong proficiency with Python and experience with tools like version control systems such as Git, CI/CD pipelines
• Proficiency in building resilient, interactive experiences with JavaScript, Type Script, React
  
  JS, and CSS
• Experience in designing and implementing RESTful APIs and automated testing frameworks, CI, loggers/monitoring, and test‑driven development

• Maintain, optimize, and scale databases to support application and business needs
• Experience with loggers, monitoring tools, and AWS
• Experience in secure software development and implementing security best practices across frontend, backend, and APIs

$140,000 - $173,000 a year

There are three major components to compensation for this position: salary, Amazon Restricted Stock Units (RSUs), and Zoox Stock Appreciation Rights. A sign‑on bonus may be offered as part of the compensation package. The listed range applies only to the base salary. Compensation will vary based on geographic location and level. Leveling, as well as positioning within a level, is determined by a range of factors, including, but not limited to, a candidate's relevant years of experience, domain knowledge, and interview performance.

The salary range listed in this posting is representative of the range of levels Zoox is considering for this position.
