Retail Service Specialist at O'Reilly Auto Parts supports the Store Manager and Assistant Managers in sales, customer service, store appearance, and store operations, and may assume shift management responsibilities.

Essential Job Functions- Lead store team members in providing excellent customer service to retail and professional customers.
- Supervise customer service levels in the retail showroom, including execution on customer service programs (Related sales, Hi5, Rock the Call, Never Say No, Rock the Lot, etc.).
- Ensure telephone is answered according to company policy.
- Process all buy online/ship to store, hub and store-to-store transfers, and DC add orders in a timely manner, contacting customers upon shipment arrival as needed.
- Handle special orders and outside purchases efficiently and according to procedure, utilizing electronic outside purchase order ledger.
- Process retail customer returns and exchanges efficiently and friendly, issue refunds accurately using correct payment methods, and stage returned merchandise correctly.
- Invoice all merchandise, including core charges and warranties, before product leaves the store.
- Communicate Zipline messages and delegate Image Maker and merchandising tasks to completion.
- Ensure team members follow the posted work schedule, obtain approval for changes, and clock in/out according to company policy.
- Perform all store opening/closing duties, including day-end procedures, securing money/deposits, preparing bank deposits, ensuring security lights and alarms, and securing delivery vehicles.
- Complete all other duties as assigned.
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to obtain RSS Certification.
- Retail sales experience, preferably in auto parts.
- Automotive systems and repair knowledge.
- ASE Certification.
- Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish highly desired).
