Overview
Primary Function:
Responsible for providing technical business development product demonstrations and sales support tools to customers within our various divisions, focusing on, but not limited to, commercial, industrial, automotive, medical, communications, and high reliability components for electronic systems. Work closely with field sales, development engineering and customers to identify technical application requirements leading to customer design approvals and new business for KYOCERA AVX.
Additionally, provide sales & marketing solutions for newly designed technological products.
- Collaborate with sales, engineering, and product management to develop customer specific passive solutions resulting in the design-in of KYOCERA AVX products.
- Analyzing customer application requirements and working with engineering to determine project feasibility.
- Prepare technical proposals, presentations, studies, papers, teardowns, and other documents defining technical solution guidelines for customers, distribution partners or internal sales support.
- Development of product and program implementation plans.
- Keeping current with the latest electronic components technology.
- Tracking, monitoring and communicating the status of project and design activities.
- Troubleshoot applications upon customer request. Assist in the resolution of customer engineering issues regarding KYOCERA AVX product applications.
- Build credibility with customer base so they continually use you as a primary technical resource. Continuously follow up on customer activities and monitor activity to identify new sales opportunities.
- Consistently provide product training for sales representatives and distribution sales teams.
- Reference design support.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering. Electrical engineering experience/aptitude preferred.
- 1+ years of experience in technical marketing/sales, preferably related to electronic design and component manufacturing, plus a strong understanding of electrical engineering applications.
- Excellent communication and relationship building skills at the sales and customer level
- Ability to travel 10% of the time. Rarely, travel overseas may be required
