As a Technician, you will support the pharmacy team in delivering operational and service excellence within your store. Technicians are often the first point of contact to assist our patients and customers to deliver an exceptional experience. You ensure that pharmacy operations run smoothly, prescriptions are filled promptly, safely, and accurately, and we provide caring service that exceeds patient expectations.

Technicians operate as part of the pharmacy team through consistent application of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), best practices, and effective communication. Throughout their shifts you demonstrate genuine care and contribute to a safe and inclusive culture where all people feel valued and empowered.

Until the Pharmacy Technician has completed all necessary licensure and certification, duties may be restricted by the Pharmacy Manager.

Key Responsibilities
  • Living our purpose by following all company SOPs at each workstation to help pharmacists manage and improve patient health
  • Following pharmacy workflow procedures at each pharmacy workstation (production, pick‑up, drive‑thru, drop‑off) for safe and accurate prescription fulfillment
  • Contributing to positive patient experiences by showing empathy and genuine care; creating heartfelt moments while serving patients at pick‑up, drive‑thru, or over the phone; offering immunizations and other services at the register; and resolving patient problems
  • Completing basic inventory activities, such as putting away medication deliveries, cycle counts, returns‑to‑stocks, and waiting‑bin inventories
  • Acting as a high‑performing team member, embracing a growth mindset, seeking opportunities to expand clinical and technical knowledge
  • Remaining flexible for both scheduling and business needs, including voluntary travel to adjacent stores as needed
  • Understanding and complying with all federal, state, and local laws, regulations, professional standards, and ethical principles
  • Delivering additional patient health care services (immunizations, point‑of‑care testing, etc.) where allowed by law and supported by training
Immunization Support (if applicable)
  • Completing additional licensure and training to obtain Technician Immunizer status
  • Educating patients about vaccine importance and referring to pharmacist‑on‑duty for questions
  • Monitoring for adverse reactions and reporting per public health requirements
  • Collecting and documenting patient information
  • Monitoring and managing vaccine supplies
Required Qualifications
  • Comply with any state board of pharmacy requirements or laws governing the practice of pharmacy (age, education, licensure)
  • State‑level licensure and national certification requirements vary by state
  • Minimum age: if not specified by state board, at least 16 years of age
  • Minimum education:

    if not specified by state board, high school diploma or equivalent, or active enrollment in high school or equivalent program
