We have an immediate opportunity for a Production Supervisor - 12 Hour Night Shift
. In this role you will supervise and coach a production team of up to 20 employees in a safety‑first 24/7 manufacturing environment. You will plan, execute, and assign work, implement policies and procedures, and oversee the integration and training of new employees. Drive continuous improvement by reducing cost, waste, and increasing efficiencies while improving quality.

Job reports to the Production Manager, Thermoforming/Extrusion.

Starting Pay
:
Annual salary is based on experience.

Shift Time
: 7:00 pm – 7:15 am (Night shift). This is a 2‑2‑3 Panama schedule with every other weekend off.

• Follow plant safety procedures and guidelines; wear and utilize personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
• Ensure that production is performed within specification requirements, according to customer expectations, and in a safe and effective manner.
• Follow plant quality practices and ensure compliance with GMP, SQF, safety, and conduct policies.
• Ensure all employees follow company safety, environmental, and GMP policies.
• Assume responsibility for shift output, ensuring excellent quality, safety, and housekeeping, including scheduled weekends.
• Pre‑plan and manage daily shift operations, including work assignments, rotations, and raw material movement.
• Lead and facilitate shift overlap meetings.
• Conduct training for safety, process, quality, human resource, and company policies.
• Review, track, and report production data, including downtime, scrap, and staffing.
• Manage incident investigations, corrective actions, and applications.
• Provide coverage to opposite shift leadership as needed.
• Identify production process problems and take corrective action, including troubleshooting and escalation.
• Inspect machines and equipment to ensure optimal operation.
• Create a positive work environment with an open‑door culture.
• Assist in creating detailed employee work schedules.
• Revise production schedules and priorities as business needs dictate.
• Write, train, and implement standard work.
• Motivate and support shift personnel; keep accurate records of performance, attendance, and safety.
• Participate in performance management through goal‑setting and disciplinary action in conjunction with HR and plant management.
• Track employee work time, including timecards and attendance records.
• Develop employees for next‑level opportunities.
• Compile, store, and retrieve production data.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• High School Diploma and a minimum of 5 years’ extrusion or thermoforming experience in a leadership or supervisory position, preferably in manufacturing.
• Bachelor’s degree and 2 years’ extrusion or thermoforming experience as a Production Supervisor is highly preferred.
• Knowledge of the plastics industry processes and equipment, specifically extrusion and thermoforming.
• Ability to stand and walk for prolonged periods; occasional sitting.
• Knowledge of raw materials and production supplies for finished goods.
• Strong written and verbal communication and excellent organization and interpersonal skills.
• Experience with time‑keeping systems, MS Office, and database applications.
• Willingness to provide opposite‑shift coverage as needed.
• Basic understanding of plastic physical properties and behaviors.
• Good decision‑making in high‑pressure environments.
• Excellent computer skills and a people‑centric, metrics‑driven mindset.
