Maintenance Technician
Location: Fountain Inn
Schedule: Full-time
Monday - Friday 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
$25 to $30 per hour
Overview:
Bridge Works is seeking a skilled and reliable Maintenance Technician to join our team. This position requires a true jack-of all-trades who can support daily operations in a fast-paced chemical manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate has strong mechanical abilities and experience with welding, electrical work, plumbing, and equipment operation.
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine and emergency maintenance on plant equipment, machinery, and facility systems.
- Work on pumps and hoses.
- Complete welding and fabrication tasks to repair, reinforce, or modify equipment and structural components.
- Operate heavy equipment and forklifts to safely move materials and assist with maintenance projects.
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical components, including motors, sensors, controls, and production equipment.
- Install, maintain, and repair plumbing, piping, valves, pumps, and fluid transfer systems.
- Conduct preventive maintenance to minimize downtime and support production efficiency.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and follow all safety, environmental, and compliance procedures.
- Assist production and safety teams with projects, inspections, and hazard prevention.
- Respond quickly to maintenance requests across the facility.
- Previous experience as a Maintenance Technician in industrial, manufacturing, or chemical environments required.
- Strong welding and fabrication skills (MIG/TIG/Stick experience a plus).
- Ability to operate heavy equipment and forklifts safely; certification preferred.
- Working knowledge of electrical systems and basic electrical troubleshooting.
- Experience with plumbing, piping, and fluid systems.
- Ability to lift heavy materials and work in a physically demanding environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States.
