Sr. Aerospace Manufacturing Engineer (79387-1)

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Generate creative solutions to design problems and demonstrate their viability considering factors such as risk, reliability, manufacturability, serviceability, weight and cost.

• Transition concepts into products, defining requirements, selecting materials and processes, interacting with suppliers and manufacturers, and documenting the development process.

• Troubleshoot design failure modes to root cause and develop quick, effective solutions.

• Coordinate with others in a multi-disciplinary team environment

• Evaluate designs through prototype testing and requirement verification.

• Knowledge in Mechanical, Aerospace and/or Manufacturing Engineering with a minimum of 5 years of design experience

• Proficient in CAD Tools, Soild Works and exposure to Catia V5 (a must)

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Products, SAP business software

• Excellent oral, written, presentation and communication skills.

Project management of product from initial design concept to production release

• Track and record projects

• Assist Engineering Manager with various projects/tasks

• Ability to work independently, prioritize, multi-task, and effectively interact with other Engineering disciplines and external contacts.
EXPERIENCE

• CATIA V5 experience required - (5) years

• 10 years Aerospace Engineering and 5 years supervising experience is preferred.

• Experience with product development.

• Knowledge of manufacturing processes and how to optimize designs and be cost effective.

• Ability to manage projects effectively.

• Must have an analytical and process-driven approach, with a high attention to detail.

• Capability in multi-tasking, including prioritization of work and management/organization of time.
Strong drive for results is essential, with self-directed leadership, requiring minimal supervision & being proactive
