Travel RN - Cardiac Telemetry

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Cardiac Telemetry position requiring prior travel experience and a valid CA RN license in-hand.

• Active CA RN license required in-hand at time of application (EMSA not accepted)
• Minimum of 2 years of recent experience required
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in an acute care setting required
• Minimum of 1 year full-time equivalent experience in cardiac telemetry within the past 2 years required
• Required certifications in-hand: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• CPI Blue Card from the Crisis Prevention Institute preferred (required for ER or Float Pool assignments)
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Two supervisor references required
• Experience with IV therapy, phlebotomy, central and peripheral line care, cardiac monitoring, and dysrhythmia management
• Experience managing cardiac and vasoactive drips (titration not required)

• Cardiac Telemetry unit within a hospital setting
• Night shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts from 19:00-07:30
• Shifts scheduled Sunday through Saturday
• Float required to other units
• Weekend coverage required
• Epic EMR experience required and must be documented in work history
• Provide telemetry monitoring and care for cardiac and stepdown patients, including arrhythmia interpretation and emergency response
• Responsibilities may include care for patients with pacemakers, post cardiac catheterization, TAVR, and VAD devices
• Local candidates accepted at the same rate as travelers
• Returning staff must have been gone a minimum of one year to be eligible to return as a traveler
• Minimal RTO allowed within the first two weeks of the assignment, with a maximum of 7 days preferred per 13-week contract
• First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
