American Traveler is hiring an experienced Telemetry RN for a night shift assignment requiring a CA RN license and Epic EMR experience.

• Telemetry unit caring for adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients
• Night shift, 3x12 hours, , Sunday through Saturday
• Float required
• Weekend coverage required
• Uses Epic EMR

• Active CA RN license required in-hand at time of application (EMSA not accepted)
• Current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications required in-hand at time of application
• Minimum of 1 year of recent experience required
• Minimum of 1 year of acute care experience required
• Specialty experience must include at least 1 year full-time equivalent within the past 2 years
• Epic EMR experience required and must be documented in work history
• CPI Blue Card from the Crisis Prevention Institute required for ER and Float Pool nurses (MAB or online CPI not accepted)
• Two supervisor references required

• Provide cardiac telemetry and monitoring care, including interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
• Skilled in IV therapy, central and peripheral line management, and blood product administration
• Experience with respiratory support including BiPAP/CPAP, high flow nasal cannula, and chest tube management
• Familiarity with cardiovascular care including pacemakers, cardiac catheterization, and post-MI management
• Knowledge of neurological conditions such as CVA, intracranial bleeds, and seizure disorders
• Experience with renal, GI, and ortho trauma patient care as needed
• Local candidates accepted at the same pay rate as travelers
• Former permanent staff must have been separated for at least 1 year to be eligible to return as a traveler
• First-time travelers are not accepted for this position unless otherwise noted
