American Traveler is hiring a Telemetry RN for a night shift hospital assignment requiring at least one year of telemetry experience, Epic proficiency, and a CA RN license.
Details- Telemetry unit caring for adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients
- Night shift schedule (3x12 hours), 7:00 PM-7:30 AM, Sunday through Saturday
- Weekend coverage required
- Floating required
- Epic EMR experience required
- Active CA RN license required in-hand at time of application (EMSA not accepted)
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- NIHSS certification required
- CPI Blue Card from the Crisis Prevention Institute required for ER and Float Pool nurses (online or MAB certifications not accepted)
- Minimum 1 year of recent acute care experience required
- Minimum 1 year of experience in telemetry within the past two years required
- Epic EMR experience required and must be documented in work history
- Two supervisor references required
- Provide telemetry nursing care including cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, and use of rapid response/code teams
- Skills may include IV therapy, central/PICC line management, blood product administration, chest tube care, tracheostomy care, wound care, and management of cardiac and vasoactive drips without titration
- Experience with conditions such as CVA, intracranial bleeds, seizure disorders, renal failure, and substance withdrawal may be required
- Local candidates accepted at the same pay rate
- Previous employees must have been separated from the facility for at least one year to return as a travelers
- Prior travel experience is generally required, though exceptions may apply
