Registered Nurse – Labor and Delivery

Fountain Valley, CA | Acute Care

Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | Sunday–Saturday availability required, every other weekend coverage expected

• Provide direct nursing care to Labor and Delivery patients across neonatal, adolescent, and adult age groups
• Monitor maternal and fetal status throughout labor, delivery, and immediate postpartum periods
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to ensure safe and timely patient outcomes
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately using EPIC electronic health records
• Participate in every-other-weekend coverage as part of standard scheduling expectations

• Valid California RN license — must be in hand at time of application (EMSA not accepted)
• Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery nursing experience — prior travel nursing experience required (first-time travelers not eligible)
• Required certifications — all must be in hand at time of application: ACLS, AWHONN Advanced Fetal Monitoring, BLS, NRP
• EPIC experience required and must be documented in work history
• Two (2) supervisor references required at time of application
• Local candidates are welcome and will be considered

• Experience working in a high-volume Labor and Delivery unit
• Familiarity with UC Learning Center (UCLC) or similar hospital-based learning management systems
• Strong communication and documentation skills within multidisciplinary team environments

• Opportunity to work in a dynamic Labor and Delivery setting serving a diverse patient population across neonatal, adolescent, and adult age groups
• Expected schedule of three 12-hour night shifts per week offering a consistent and structured work routine
