Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Quality Assurance (QA) Analyst to join our team. This role involves testing inbound products, performing soldering tasks, and repairing products as needed to ensure they meet company standards and specifications. The ideal candidate will have experience in quality assurance, product testing, soldering, and repair, with an eye for detail and a passion for maintaining high product quality.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct thorough testing of inbound products to ensure functionality, quality, and compliance with company standards.
- Perform soldering tasks, including assembly, rework, and component replacement, to support product repairs and quality improvements.
- Inspect and assess product defects, identifying issues and collaborating with other teams to determine root causes.
- Document test results, including detailed descriptions of any defects or issues found during the testing process.
- Collaborate with production, engineering, and repair teams to ensure timely and efficient resolution of any product quality issues.
- Assist in creating and refining test plans, procedures, and protocols for inbound product testing.
- Perform troubleshooting and repairs on defective products, ensuring products are returned to proper working condition.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace, ensuring compliance with company safety protocols.
- Continuously monitor and improve testing and repair procedures to optimize product quality and repair efficiency.
- Provide feedback to management on quality trends and potential areas of improvement.
- High school diploma or equivalent;
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred. - Proven experience in quality assurance, soldering, and product repair, particularly in a manufacturing or electronics environment.
- Strong knowledge of soldering techniques and equipment.
- Experience with electronic testing equipment and tools (e.g., multimeters, oscilloscopes, etc.).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to interpret technical specifications, blueprints, and manuals.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of quality assurance principles and industry standards.
- Previous experience in inbound product testing or manufacturing quality control is a plus.
- IPC certification (e.g., IPC-A-610, IPC/WHMA-A-620) is a plus.
- Familiarity with repair and rework stations (e.g., hot air rework systems, soldering irons, etc.).
- Experience in troubleshooting and repairing electronic components and devices.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform manual dexterity tasks.
- Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs when necessary.
