RMB Products is seeking a CNC Machinist (2nd shift) who sets up and operates CNC and other machine tools to fabricate nonmetallic parts and tooling to specification. This position uses approved CNC programs and setup instructions, verifies finished work through inspection, and makes routine machine adjustments within established procedures.

Essential Functions and ResponsibilitiesRead and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, sketches, work instructions, specifications, and sample parts to determine dimensions, tolerances, machining sequence, and setup requirements.
Prepare jobs by gathering materials, tooling, fixtures, and accessories; verify required items are available and pre-kit for upcoming jobs.
Set up CNC machines and machining centers by loading material, securing fixtures, selecting and installing tools, and establishing part origins and tool length offsets.
Load and run approved CNC programs and setup files. Report program-related issues to the appropriate personnel; do not create or edit CNC programs.
Set machine controls using approved setup sheets and work instructions, including tool offsets and applicable speed, feed, coolant, depth, and angle settings.
Run trial parts and first articles to verify setup, dimensions, and machine operation before continuing production.
Operate and monitor CNC and conventional or special-purpose machine tools, such as mills, lathes, grinders, and shapers, as assigned.
Observe machining operations, identify malfunctions or out-of-tolerance conditions, and make routine adjustments within established procedures. Escalate issues requiring program changes or engineering review.
Measure work using instruments such as micrometers and calipers. Mark or scribe dimensions and reference points when needed for machining.
Verify dimensions, alignment, and conformance of finished work pieces to drawings and specifications; document inspection results as required.
Collaborate with Engineering, Production, Quality, and other personnel to resolve machining, setup, and part-quality issues.
Maintain a clean and orderly work area and follow applicable safety, quality, and equipment procedures.
Install machined replacement parts in mechanisms, machines, or equipment and test operation when required.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Education & ExperienceHigh school diploma or GED, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
Experience setting up and operating CNC machine tools in a manufacturing environment. The level of experience should match the complexity of the equipment and parts.
Required SkillsAbility to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, work instructions and specifications, including dimensions and tolerances.
Ability to set up jobs using fixtures and cutting tools, load approved programs, establish work and tool offsets, and make routine adjustments within established procedures.
Experience using precision measuring tools such as calipers and micrometers.
Basic math skills, including measurement conversions, fractions, decimals, and practical geometry.
Ability to inspect work, recognize out-of-tolerance conditions, and communicate quality or machine issues promptly.
Strong attention to detail with a consistent focus on safety, quality, and following work instructions.
Ability to communicate and work effectively with Engineering, Production, Quality, and other team members.
