Position SummaryWhat you’ll do:
- Drive sales in the Vision Center by ensuring effective merchandise presentation, accurate and competitive pricing, proper signing, and appropriate inventory levels; budget and forecast sales and assess economic trends and community needs.
- Model, enforce, and provide direction and guidance to Associates on proper Customer/Member service approaches to resolve complaints and issues within company guidelines.
- Oversee and participate in community outreach programs, encouraging Associates to serve as good members of the community.
- Ensure compliance with company and legal policies, analyzing reports, implementing safety controls, monitoring quality assurance reviews, developing action plans, and directing Associates to protect confidentiality of information and records.
- Provide supervision and development opportunities—hire, train, mentor, assign duties, recognize, and promote a belonging mindset in the workplace.
- Ensure quality eyewear service by consulting with customers, selecting products, obtaining measurements, verifying prescriptions, maintaining confidentiality, performing minor frame repair, and maintaining optical equipment.
- Uphold the company’s Open Door Policy by meeting with Associates, listening to concerns, researching issues, reviewing policies, and suggesting resolutions.
- Coordinate and oversee job-related activities by building stakeholder relationships, supporting plans and initiatives, communicating goals, measuring progress, and promoting continuous learning.
- Build high‑performing teams that embrace differences, create a supportive culture, and enable all associates to thrive.
- Communicate with impact, energy, and positivity to motivate and influence.
- Attract, retain, empower, and develop talent while recognizing contributions and accomplishments.

- Serve customers and members by delivering results, adapting to how, where, and when they shop, and applying the EDLP and EDLC business models to all plans.

- Strive for excellence by displaying curiosity, learning, taking calculated risks, showing resilience, and encouraging learning from mistakes.
- Drive continuous improvements by adopting new technologies, encouraging changes, and supporting others through change.
- Completion of ≥ 2 years of college OR 1 year of retail experience + 1 year of supervisory experience OR 2 years of general work experience including 1 year of optical experience.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Current eligibility to work as an optician or apprentice optician under applicable state laws, regulations, and/or rules.
- Experience supervising associates.
