As an HVAC Service Technician, you will be responsible for delivering professional service from the moment you arrive at the customer's home until the job is fully completed.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Analyze and fix residential and light commercial heating and cooling units.
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, airflow, thermostat, refrigerant, and control-related HVAC issues.
- Execute preventive maintenance and comprehensive system check-ups.
- Restore functionality to furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, air handlers, and other HVAC hardware.
- Verify system performance before and after repairs to help maintain a safe working environment for the entire team.
- Determine the root cause of equipment failures rather than just addressing surface-level symptoms.
- Prioritize the repair of existing equipment over replacement when it is safe, practical, and provides genuine value to the customer.
- Clearly communicate diagnostic results and repair suggestions to homeowners.
- Offer clients a range of appropriate repair, maintenance, upgrade, and replacement choices.
- Complete authorized repairs with precision and efficiency.
- Spot additional issues that might impact system safety, comfort, efficiency, reliability, or equipment longevity.
- Suggest relevant products and services that offer real value to the customer.
- Discuss maintenance plans, indoor air quality solutions, comfort upgrades, and other HVAC services when appropriate.
- Identify instances where equipment replacement is the most practical solution and help customers understand the reasoning.
- Generate accurate estimates and document all service recommendations.
- Process payments and finalize service documentation as required.
- Maintain precise records of all work performed, equipment status, and recommendations.
- Care for company tools, inventory, equipment, and service vehicles.
