• Assist the head coach with all sport‑specific duties, including planning and conducting practices and games.
• Supervise and monitor athletes to maintain high standards of performance and conduct.
• Ensure practice schedules adhere to the Athletic Director and CHSAA guidelines.
• Promote effective communication with schools, community, boosters, parents, and media.
• Participate in summer athletic camp activities and general equipment upkeep.
• Maintain accurate records, paperwork, and administrative documentation as required.
• Represent the district in a professional manner at all times.
• Perform additional duties assigned by the head coach or district.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Prior experience as an effective coach in the assigned sport.
• Current criminal background check.
• Eligibility to coach in Colorado: either a certified teacher or administrator with a Colorado Department of Education license, a teacher/counselor/administrator who spends at least 50% of the school day in a private school, or a CHSAA registry-compliant coach (one‑year or permanent registration).
• CPR and concussion protocol training.

• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and supervisory skills.
• Advanced leadership, customer service, and media/public relations abilities.
• Strong critical‑thinking, problem‑solving, and budgeting skills.
• In‑depth knowledge of CHSAA rules, regulations, and policies.
• Ability to manage stressful and volatile situations and communicate effectively with diverse individuals.
• Commitment to athlete safety and adherence to safety practices.

Seasonal coaching salary paid on the Professional Staff Supplementary Pay Plan Schedule, as outlined in the district’s salary schedule.

• Provide three references for all applicants.
• Current FFC8 assistant coaches applying for head coaching positions must provide letters of recommendation for each reference.
• Applicants who are not current coaches at FFC8 must also provide letters of recommendation for each reference.
