ABGi is hiring on behalf of one of our clients, a respected mid-sized CPA firm in Foxborough, MA, seeking a full-time Staff Accountant. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented accounting professional who enjoys a balance of structured work, client interaction, and variety throughout the day. Position Overview

This role is ideal for someone seeking a technically rich and collaborative environment. The Tax Accountant will support a range of client needs while working alongside experienced team members in a flexible, hybrid work environment that promotes both collaboration and work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare federal and state income tax returns for individuals, corporations, partnerships, and trusts.
  • Assist in preparing annual and quarterly tax projections.
  • Support senior team members in tax planning and research initiatives.
  • Analyze financial statements and reports to ensure tax compliance and accuracy.
  • Review financial data to verify compliance with all applicable tax regulations.
  • Identify tax‑saving opportunities and recommend strategies to enhance profitability.
  • Respond to tax-related inquiries, assisting clients during audits by tax authorities.
  • Provide tax planning advice aimed at minimizing liabilities while maintaining compliance.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of firm-wide tax policies and strategies.
  • Keep up-to-date with federal, state, and local tax law changes.
  • Ensure all tax filings and payments comply with regulatory standards.
  • Proactively monitor legislation and advise on potential impacts to clients or the firm.
Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • 2–3 years of experience in public accounting or tax advisory roles.
  • CPA (or working toward CPA certification) preferred.
  • Experience with corporate, partnership, trust, and individual tax returns.
  • Strong knowledge of tax regulations and financial accounting principles.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency with accounting and tax preparation software.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
