$85,000.00/yr - $98,000.00/yr

Description

The Content Studio Engineer is responsible for the technical oversight, maintenance, and strategic development of the Kraft Sports & Entertainment Content studios. This role involves managing pre- and post‑production systems, overseeing video asset management, and ensuring the seamless operation of live event networking and troubleshooting. The Content Studio Engineer will collaborate with cross‑functional departments to include Operations and IT to ensure seamless operations, compliance with operational processes and security, advise on production technology innovations and investments, and provide expertise in resolving complex technical challenges.

Duties

and Responsibilities
  • Lead technical oversight and strategic development of content studio operations, networking, lighting, sound, and stage design.
  • Oversee the networking and routing of feeds during live events and leverage technical expertise by implementing solutions for real‑time troubleshooting.
  • Manage the installation, configuration, and ongoing maintenance of editing suites and studio equipment, including hardware, software, licensing, peripherals, and vendor service agreements to ensure seamless and reliable operations.
  • Develop and implement best practices for content storage, retrieval, and security, ensuring compliance with organizational policies and procedures.
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance on production equipment purchases, evaluating new technologies and innovations.
  • Act as primary liaison between Content Department and IT; have full understanding of intersections of studio hardware/software and how it intersects with hardware and software overseen by IT.
  • Analyze and resolve complex technical problems in content studios, applying advanced problem‑solving skills.
  • Coordinate with the Content Operations Manager to optimize studio schedules and workflow efficiency.
  • Serve as backup engineer for the KSE Control Room, demonstrating proficiency in control room operations.
  • Establish quality standards, document operational procedures, and create reference materials to maintain consistency in studio performance.
  • Special projects and assignments as business dictates.
  • Responsible for the maintenance, creation and control of all personally identified information or other information protected by any Confidentiality or Privacy Standards or Company Policies that you have access or knowledge of, including but not limited to any state or federal regulations including HIPAA.

Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree required in Engineering or related field
  • 6-8 years of technical work experience in studio production, live event engineering and post‑production.
  • Experience of post‑production environment, including but not limited to:
    Apple computing hardware;
    Apple iOS;
    Adobe Suite software;
    Signiant;
    Vantage;
    CatDV;
    Black Magic peripherals; video replay systems;
    Ross equipment;
    Grass Valley equipment; storage server maintenance;
    Touch View display; network routing, sound board operation, teleprompter operation, router configuration and maintenance.
  • Expertise in IT networks, storage server maintenance, and troubleshooting complex technical issues.
  • Experience providing engineering support for live broadcast events.
  • Strong understanding of high definition, digital and analog video systems.
  • Ability to develop and enforce technical best practices to improve efficiency and workflow. A proactive and hands on approach to studio maintenance.
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Must be willing to work on nights, weekends and holidays to meet live event schedule needs.
