Commercial Business Insurance Sales Agent
Location: South of Boston, MA (in-office, Monday–Friday business hours)
About Our Client
Our client is a growing, well-established independent insurance agency south of Boston offering commercial, personal, and life insurance. With decades in business, they are known as a go-to agency in the local business community. This is a newly created position.
Responsibilities
- Split time between outbound calls to business insurance leads (about 50%) and inbound inquiries from organic marketing (about 50%)
- Assess clients' business insurance needs and recommend coverage options (cyber, general liability, workers' comp, property, auto, E&O, health, dental, life)
- Build trusted-advisor relationships and deliver proposals in a low-pressure environment
- Assist with the renewal process
- Network actively in the local business community
Compensation
- Base salary: $50,000–$60,000
- P&C commissions: 50% on new business / 25% on renewals of agency net income, for the life of the policy
- Life & DI commissions: 50%
- Incentive/override plans for hitting production thresholds
- New agents can earn up to ~$12K in first-year production bonuses
- Annual company bonuses and performance-based raises
- No speculative/FINRA products
