SUMMARY:
The role of part‑time player development coach is to be responsible for delivering energetic and impactful coaching sessions to players across the New England region, while working in a professional environment.
Sessions range from development to elite level players. Player ages range from 5‑17 years old. Coaches are placed in various programs that will be determined by experience, licenses & geographic location.
This posting is open to developing coaches who are looking to grow and improve their own ability or experienced coaches who are looking to improve and become part of a great team. Coaches will be required to participate in paid staff training events and workshops throughout the year and will be provided with an adidas uniform package and coaching equipment.
Please note that this position is not for the New England Revolution MLS Next youth teams.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES- This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
- USSF Grassroots In‑Person coaching license.
- USSF D License preferred.
- Soccer coaching experience with players in the 5‑17 age range.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Ability to lead sessions.
- Excellent time keeping and planning.
- Problem solving skills.
- Effective and timely communication skills.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and use hands to handle or feel.
- The employee frequently is required to talk or hear.
- The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms.
- The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
- Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
- The noise level in the work environment is sometimes loud.
- Will work in all types of weather, including extreme heat and cold.
- USSF Grassroots In‑Person coaching license.
