Job Description
Our client, a leading non‑profit organization, is looking for an Accounts Payable Clerk to join their growing team. You will be responsible for accurately processing and entering a high volume of invoices and documents into an electronic invoicing and requisition system. This role requires strong attention to detail, effective communication with vendors and internal staff, and the ability to meet daily productivity standards.
The position supports accounts payable operations while ensuring confidentiality, compliance with policies, and accurate recordkeeping.
- Process and enter invoices for payment into accounts payable systems.
- Accurately scan and input documents into an electronic invoice and requisition system.
- Contact vendors and research outstanding balances as needed.
- Participate in team meetings as requested and communicate effectively with vendors and internal staff.
- Maintain confidentiality of client, employee, and organizational information in accordance with federal and state laws and applicable requirements.
- Ensure compliance with departmental, organizational, and funder policies and procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Experience with high-volume data entry and strong attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 applications.
- High School diploma or equivalent required;
Associate’s degree preferred. - Minimum of one (1) year of prior experience working in an office environment.
- Experience with electronic invoicing or document management software is helpful but not required.
- Ability to sit for extended periods while working at a desk.
- Ability to perform repetitive movements using standard office equipment, including a computer.
- Ability to lift and carry files weighing up to 10 pounds.
- Ability to accurately transfer data from paper documents into electronic systems.
