The Social Media Content Specialist is responsible for managing and elevating the brand’s presence across all social platforms through compelling content creation, strategic publishing, and active community engagement. This role brings a strong understanding of social media trends, a passion for storytelling, and the ability to translate brand values into meaningful, community-building content. The Social Media Content Specialist will collaborate closely with product, marketing and creative teams to produce original and source UGC assets, ensuring channels remain current, relevant, and performance driven.
This role also includes on-the-ground content capture at events showcasing brand initiatives in real time.

- Develop and publish 15-20 pieces of original content per week across platforms, aligning with product launches, events, and relevant stories within the broader content calendar, with emphasis on short-form video content for Reels and Tik Tok.
- Own the scheduling and publishing of all social posts, ensuring accuracy, timely delivery, and flawless execution across platforms.
- Maintain updated bios, links, highlights, and pinned content to ensure channels remain optimized and current.
- Responsible for community management on all social media platforms, including responding to positive engagement in a timely manner and highlighting any trending negative/positive feedback.
- Identify deeper engagement opportunities to further build brand affinity and propose new ways to deepen our customer relationships through social storytelling.
- Stay up to date on trends, emerging formats, algorithm changes, best practices, and competitor activities, making strategic recommendations to keep our social presence fresh, relevant, and aligned with our audience.
- Develop a deep understanding of brand tone of voice, personality, style, and key values, ensuring all content is in line with brand guidelines.
- Collaborate with marketing team to source, curate, and manage all UGC, proactively understand content strategy to maximize opportunity for UGC to fill content needs.
- Ensure all UGC meets brand standards, providing feedback to ensure high-quality deliverables and brand consistency.
- Collaborate with the creative and marketing teams to develop concepts for visual content, including product launches, photoshoots, and seasonal campaigns. Contribute to brainstorming sessions and assist in creating mood boards and briefs.
- Attend races and industry events to produce real-time content, from athlete spotlights to broader brand coverage that strengthens our visibility and community connection.
- Track and report on weekly or monthly social performance, analyzing key metrics including engagement rates, follower growth, reach, and conversion metrics to refine content strategy.
Competencies:
- Demonstrated ability to produce engaging content (Instagram Reels/Stories, Tik Tok).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to adopt and maintain a consistent brand voice.
- Strong understanding of Instagram, Tik Tok, Facebook, You Tube, and emerging platforms.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to derive insights from data.
- Proven proficiency using standard photo/video editing tools (e.g., Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom, Final Cut Pro, Cap Cut).
- Comfortable attending events, representing the brand, and capturing live content.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent collaboration skills, with a demonstrated ability to work cross-departmentally.
- This position is based in Framingham, MA and operates in a hybrid work model with 2 days in office and 3 days remote, with occasional weekend/evening work required for event coverage and real-time social engagement.
- Approximately 10% travel required for races, industry events, and photoshoots, on weekends with advance notice.
- 1+ years of experience in a social media, digital marketing, or content creation role.
