Located in Greater Boston, Mass Bay is a comprehensive, open-access community college, offering associate degrees and certificate programs on three campuses in Wellesley Hills, Framingham, and Ashland, Massachusetts.

Position Summary: The candidate is expected to commit to excellence in teaching and learning, collaboration and professional development. Adjunct faculty are expected to deliver course materials in a learner-centered environment conducive to engaging students in the learning process. The faculty member in this position communicates consistently and effectively with students, faculty and administrators, and responds to communications within a 24 hour period.

The faculty is responsible for managing this course through timely grading of assignments, providing substantial student feedback with assignments, and submission of clinical evaluations, attendance and grades.

Mass Bay Community College seeks a qualified part-time Computed Tomography Instructor for the current and future semesters. The ideal candidate will join a vibrant educational community and have a desire and ability to serve a population of students with various needs and backgrounds. This instructor provides instruction and support for students accepted into the Computed Tomography program. This involves developing and updating the curriculum for the Computed Tomography program and ensuring the courses are taught consistently with ARRT standards.

The instructor must be credentialed in Computed Tomography, have recent computed tomography experience, teaching experience, communicate effectively, be able to assess students objectively, and work as part of a team.

Semester, Dates, Times

  • Work:
    Spring 2026 (January-May) and Summer 2026 (May August)

Beginning Spring / Jan-May 2026 Courses:

  • TO 201 Computed Tomography 1 Introduction – 2 credits. Begin in Spring 2026.
  • TO 214 Computed Tomography Cross-Sectional Anatomy – 2 credits. Begins in Spring 2026.

Beginning Summer / May-Aug 2026 Courses:

  • TO 202 Computed Tomography II Advanced – 2 credits. Begins in Summer 2026.
  • TO 215 Computed Tomography Pathology & Procedures – 2 credits. Begins in Summer 2026.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Work in collaboration with faculty and others to prepare syllabi and develop teaching materials in alignment with course description and agreed-upon learning outcomes.
  • Collaborate with program officials on students' academic progress and needs.
  • Meet students regularly at the posted class times and teach assigned courses using effective instructional strategies that promote student learning and preparation.
  • Participate in the assessment of course and program learning outcomes.
  • Utilize appropriate learning management systems for the College.
  • Follow College protocols and procedures.
  • Submit syllabi, midterm and final grade reports, attendance records, and other reports pertaining to assigned courses by the required due dates.
  • Communicate effectively with students, staff, and administration, assess students objectively, and work as part of a team.
  • Stay current with developments in the profession.
  • Use the College's technology effectively to communicate with students, colleagues, and administration.
  • Be timely in communication.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by the Dean/Dean's designee and consistent with the Collective Bargaining Agreement.
  • Other duties as assigned.
