Position Title: Accounts Receivable & Deductions Specialist
Pay Range: $22.28 – $29.12 per hour (DOE)
Work Location: Framingham, MA (Hybrid)
Employment Type: Full-Time / initial 3-month Contract
Position OverviewWe are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Accounts Receivable & Deductions Specialist based in the Framingham, MA area for a hybrid opportunity. In this role, you will oversee core AR functions—including deduction management, collections, and cash application. You will work closely with major retail accounts and collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams (Logistics, Sales, and Finance) to resolve pricing disputes, manage past-due balances, and keep open AR clean.
Key Responsibilities:- Deductions & Disputes: Investigate deductions and disputes from major tier-1 retail accounts (e.g., Amazon, Walmart, Target, Costco); gather supporting documentation to verify validity and process chargebacks.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Logistics, Sales leadership (VPs), and Finance to resolve pricing discrepancies, obtain missing documentation, and finalize dispute settlements.
- Collections & Cash Application: Monitor account statements, past-due balances, check payments, and remittances to ensure timely cash application and portfolio collection.
- AR Reporting: Prepare reports and present account challenges, open AR status, and key metrics to internal sales and finance leadership.
- Work Location: Ability to work on-site in Framingham, MA on a hybrid schedule.
- Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience in Accounts Receivable or Finance (2–5+ years strongly preferred). Background in Finance or Accounting is ideal.
Skills:
- Hands-on experience with ERP systems (
SAP ECC preferred). - Proficiency with Power BI (navigating dashboards, filters, and slicers).
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables, data structuring, and lookup functions).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on root-cause deduction resolution.
- Assertive, professional written and verbal communication.
- Ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively across multiple time zones.
