* Job Summary:

** Shields Health Care Group’s PET Technologists support the integrity of the organization with their commitment to excellence. The PET Technologist will provide a professional, caring atmosphere to all customer groups, while maintaining a fast-paced, multi-tasked oriented clinical environment.

* Job Description:

**** What you will do
*** Follow all Shields Health Care Group policies, procedures, and protocols to ensure patient safety at all times.
* Follow rules and regulations established by the NRC, state regulatory agencies, and JCAHO.
* Inform the patient of all aspects of their exam to their level of understanding.
* Operate PET equipment to produce images and measure concentrations of Radioactive Isotopes in specific body areas and body products.
* Performs all hot lab responsibilities.
* Ensure patient is cleared of all contraindications and hazards.
* Accurately position the patient and ensure their comfort.
* Maintain visual and verbal contact with the patient during the exam.
* Complete all forms pertaining to patient’s exam.
* Record patient data to Tech Data Entry program.
* Provide and issue films when appropriate.
* Forward PET related data to Radiologist upon completion of exam.
* Refilm cases as time allows
* Assist clerical staff as circumstances arise.
* Clean and re-supply equipment and rooms as needed.
** Required Qualifications
**** What you need:
*** Must possess a state license for the state(s) in which he/she is employed to work
* Must be certified in CPR
* Must be registered by the ARRT and/or NMTCB.
* A minimum of one-year prior nuclear medicine experience is required.  Excellent interpersonal skills are required.  Must be proficient in starting IVs.
* Must be able to sit and utilize a computer for extended periods of time. Must be able to assist patients with mobility difficulties. Must be able to push, pull, and lift a minimum of twenty-five pounds.

Job Description:

** Pay range for this position is $40 - $60/hr + benefits. Individual pay is based on skills, experience, and other relevant factors.
